What are the best ways to use VG Connect to save time and money?
To make the best use of VG Connect, share it wherever your prospective customers are.
Just a few ideas: Share the phone number and email on your website and socials, embed the chatbot into your website, include it in your email signature, and use your VG Connect email when sending out marketing emails or auto-responding to forms. The more your customers see it, the more time and money you'll save and the more new business you'll get!
Can VG Connect to outbound calls?
Yes! It's not a solution for cold calling, but it's great if the customer is expecting the call (for example, if they completed a form or you need to collect additional information).
To use the outbound calling feature, you will need to call our API. Contact us for instructions on how to access this feature.
Can I customize the questions VG Connect asks?
Yes, you can! You can specify any number of questions for VG Connect to ask (though we recommend less than 10).
You can even make them conditional (for example, "Ask if they already have a heater only if the customer is interested in a heater installation.")
How can I ensure VG Connect provides accurate information about my business?
VG Connect pulls key details from your website, but you can further refine its responses using the Knowledge Base—a central hub where you can input essential information about your business, services, and products. Think of it as your own business database or library that the AI references when engaging with customers.
There’s no limit to what you can include, but we recommend focusing on the most frequently asked questions, such as pricing, services, and policies. And if a customer needs more personalized assistance, VG Connect can always escalate or transfer the conversation to a team member.
How does VG Connect book appointments on my calendar?
You have two options. First, VG Connect can ask for time preferences, and then you can follow up and schedule based on those preferences. Second (the better option), you can use a calendar link (like Calendly), and VG Connect can schedule appointments directly on your calendar.
Do I get unlimited conversations with VG Connect?
VG Connect's Plus plan includes 300 conversations per month across phone, email, text, and chat. A conversation is defined as a full exchange with a customer—not each individual message—so you’re not billed per back-and-forth interaction.
If you exceed 300 conversations, additional interactions are billed at $0.15 per conversation.
For businesses with custom package solutions, we’ll work with you to tailor usage based on your specific needs.
Can VG Connect do something other than set up appointments?
Yes, lots! You can decide on any follow-up for customers after VG Connect qualifies them. For example, you can point them to a self-service sign-up process, provide more information for the customer to review, or anything else you can think of!
What information does VG Connect collect when I include my website when I sign up?
If you include your website when you sign up, we'll collect information about your business, your services, your products, your background, and more.
We use this information to help VG Connect be more helpful to your customers. Note that we won't share the information we collect with anyone.
Can I embed VG Connect on my website?
Yes, you can! After you sign up, go to the Chatbot section of your settings, and you'll see the code you need to embed your chatbot on your website.
Can I customize the icon on my website when VG Connect is embedded?
Yes, you can! Just have a public URL to your image (let's call it your-image-url) and add this line: window.image = 'your-image-url'; to the embedding code.

Can I use VG Connect if I don't have a website?
Yes, you can! In the sign-up process, there's a section where you can write or paste in any information about your business. You can also adjust this after you sign up.
Can I change the voice VG Connect uses on the phone?
Yes! We offer several voice options that you can choose in the phone section of your settings. You can also customize the phone greeting as well.
Does VG Connect work in different languages?
Yes! VG Connect can interact dynamically with customers in more than 50 languages for chat, email, and text. So, based on the language your customer responds with, VG Connect will respond in that same language.
For phone, VG Connect can engage in over 20 languages; however, you have to choose a single language for all phone calls. But you can add additional instances for multi-language support. We'll help you with the set up.
Can my VG Connect phone number be changed?
Yes! After you register, you can get a new number with your preferred local area code in the phone section of your settings.
Can my VG Connect email be changed?
Yes! After you register, you can select a new email in the email section of your settings.

Can VG Connect respond to customers via text (SMS) or WhatsApp?
Texting/SMS is available now. We're also working on WhatsApp, but we do not have an ETA yet. For texting, it will use the same VG Connect phone number that it uses for voice calls.
How will I be notified when a customer engages with VG Connect?
You have lots of options for getting notified. You can be notified via email, text, and/or WhatsApp. You can change this in the notifications section of your settings.
If the website changes, how does VG Connect learn the new information?
When your website has a significant change in content, simply update your website in the basic section of your settings, and we'll update VG Connect with the new information.
How do I manage the contacts I get from VG Connect?
VG Connect offers a simple and easy-to-use CRM for managing your contacts. VG Connect will also note the qualification status and recommended next steps, and you can add notes on any contacts. Of course, you can also add new contacts (even if they did not come from VG Connect).
How accurate is VG Connect?
VG Connect is highly accurate, but like any AI, it’s not perfect. If it ever provides incorrect information (which should be rare), you can easily report it by clicking the "thumbs down" icon in the conversation. Your feedback helps us continuously refine and improve its performance.
To ensure the best results, you can customize the Knowledge Base by adding detailed information about your business. We recommend running a few test calls or trial interactions to fine-tune its responses. And, of course, our team is here to support you every step of the way with setup and configuration.
Can VG Connect leads be sent to my CRM?
You can send your leads to most CRMs and other apps like Google Sheets. You can do that through Zapier (a free tool).
Can VG Connect integrate directly with my CRM instead of using Zapier?
Not yet, but we're working on that.
Can VG Connect support multiple business locations?
Yes, VG Connect supports multiple business locations! You can configure customized workflows and responses for each location to ensure accurate and relevant interactions. Our team is here to assist with setup, and if you need multilingual support, we can help by setting up multiple instances to meet your needs.
